Q: What is the earliest I can Check-in?
A: Standard check-in time is 1pm. Earlier check-ins are sometimes possible but can never be guaranteed prior to your date of arrival.

Q: Can I arrive late?
A: Yes, however please give us a call if you are planning to arrive after 9pm as we need to make special arrangements to have someone there to check you in.

Q: Do you have off-street parking?
A: Yes, we have a large off-street outdoor carpark on the hotel premises. All parking is free.

Q: Are your rooms non-smoking?
A: Yes, all rooms at the Sands Hotel are strictly non-smoking.

Q: Can I smoke on the balcony?
A: Yes, however please be reminded that there is an extra cleaning fee of $50 if your room smells of smoke when you check-out. If you are going to smoke on the balcony, please ensure the door to your room is always kept closed.

Q: Do you have an elevator?
A: No. All our motel rooms are on the first floor, up a quick flight of stairs. We are always happy to give you a hand with your luggage if required.

Q: Do you have a restaurant?
A: Yes. George’s Bistro at the Sands Hotel is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

Q: Do you have room service?
A: No, however you are welcome to order from our Bistro and take your meal up to your room.

Q: Do you have wireless internet in guest rooms?
A: Yes! We have free WIFI in all our motel rooms. You will be provided with the log-in instructions and passwords on arrival.

Q: How close are you to the shops?
A: We are right next door to Woolworths Supermarket, Walsh’s Pharmacy, Australia Post, Michelle’s Hair & Beauty, and the Maroubra Medical Centre.

Q: How close are you to restaurants?
A: The Sands Hotel has a Licenced Restaurant and Bar downstairs.  A 10 minute stroll down to Maroubra Beach will take you to El Toro tapas and pizza, The Beach Thai, Thai the Knot, Vinny’s Woodfire Pizza and La Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant. We are also a 2 minute drive to Maroubra Juncction and a number of restaurants and fast food outlets including Nando's, McDonalds, Subway, O’Portos, Sushi Train, Noodle King, Gloria Jeans and the Coffee Club. Q: Do you have Foxtel?
A: Yes! We have High Definition Fox Sports, Discovery Channel, Fuel TV, Sky Channel, all the digital freeview channels, as well as KENO, our in-house music channel, and all the regular free to air channel.

Q: What is your Cancellation Policy?
A: Cancellations must be made before 1pm on the day before the scheduled date of arrival. When cancellations are received after this time, the full amount for the first cancelled night will be charged.

Q: How do I guarantee my booking?
A: Credit card details will be requested at the time of booking to guarantee your room. No charges will be made to your credit card at this time. If you don’t have a credit card, we ask that you pay for the room in advance by cheque, direct deposit, or money order. In this case, payment must be received two days prior to your date of arrival, or the booking will not be guaranteed.
