The Maroubra Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit association of local businesses, mainly small and locally owned. The Chamber arranges a networking event every month, and organises the annual Maroubra Fun Run and Oktoberfest and the Buy Maroubra campaign.
The Junction News Neighbourhood Centre (JNC) is an incorporated association owned and controlled by local members since 1975. It receives funds from Randwick City Coucil and governement departments, and provides a wide range of information and services to people and families in need of support.
Maroubra is represented in the federal parliament by Peter Garrett, in the state parliament by Michael Daley, and in Randwick City Council mainly by the Councillors for the Central and South Wards: Anthony Andrews, Geoff Stevenson, Ted Seng, Robert Belleli (Deputy Mayor), Alan White, and Charles Matthews.
